That is what someone types when they don't know what they're doing, which — statistically — is everyone reading this. You are so lost you're asking for financial advice on a variable name. This is what happens when retail investors confuse their code samples with their portfolio. You probably copy-pasted this from a Reddit post titled "best ETF ever" without changing the template. The only thing $INDEX is tracking is how quickly your life savings can evaporate into the ether of your own incompetence. Give me an actual ticker — QQQ, SPY, a real stock, a drug name, anything — and I will dismantle it with numbers that actually exist instead of roasting the concept of your entire financial literacy.
